A team effort – Tim – KD9RCL, Mark – KB9TVD, & George – KC9UIU worked pileups on 20 & 40 meters making 300 contacts – all on SSB, (phone mode) all low power – all with a temporary ‘KC9UIU blessed’ end-fed 130-foot wire antenna – Congrats to the group !!!
This Sunday join Club members for the raising of an HF station at the Elmhurst Fire Department Training Facility – – We will gather at 10:30 am to put up an antenna, get the Club’s HF rig in place and connect it to our laptop for logging –
Then at Noon members will begin 6 hours of making contacts using the special event call sign W9Y – the object will be to get our members a positive HF experience – there will be members to coach and answer questions –
